Varsity Finale 2024 - Top 10 Things You Need to Know

1 - Gates will open at 4:30pm and you must be in the ground by 6:45pm or you will be denied entry.

2 - You will only gain access via the relevant turnstile to the area you have purchased a ticket for. Your turnstile entry point and area of the ground are stated on the front of your ticket. Once you have entered the stadium you are not permitted to leave and re-enter.

3 - Bring your student card OR a form of photo ID along to the match or you will be refused entry. If you wish to purchase alcohol you may need your ID.

4 - You will not be able to bring large bags, glass containers, umbrellas, banners, flags or balloons into the stadium. Small handbags and purses may be searched. Anyone refusing to allow bags to be searched will be refused entry. Please speak to security staff at the gates if you have any concerns.

5 - You cannot bring any food, alcohol or drugs into the stadium. Anyone found with drugs in their possession will be ejected from the ground and could be arrested and face prosecution. You will not be allowed to leave the stadium with alcohol.

6 - Streakers, going on the pitch or throwing any objects or ‘missiles’ will result in a £1000 on the spot fine and potential criminal prosecution and disciplinary action from either University and/or their respective Students’ Union.

7 - Headingley Stadium bars and concessions are now cashless so please ensure you bring your credit / debit card OR you can pay using your smartphone.

8 - There will be a Police presence and CCTV in operation both inside and outside of the stadium at the Varsity Finale 2024.

9 - Be prepared for the use of pyrotechnics, special effects and flash photography during the games.

10 - Please be considerate to our local residents when you are outside the stadium keep the noise down and don’t drop your litter.

Failure to adhere to the AMT Headingley Stadium Ground Regulations will result in ejection and disciplinary from either University and/or your respective Students Union.

AMT Headingley Stadium Ground Regulations

Headingley Stadium Ground Regulations

1. Leeds Rhinos ('the Club Management') reserves the right of admission to the Ground.

2. All matches will be played in accordance with the rules and regulations of The Rugby Football League (‘RFL’) and their respective laws of the Game.

3. Play cannot be guaranteed to take place on any particular day or at any particular time and the Club Management reserves the right to change its advertised fixtures without notice or liability.

4. At the Club Management’s discretion, refunds may be made in respect of tickets sold and paid for in advance of a match, where such match is postponed. This is subject to a time limitation, the details of which can be obtained from the Club.

5. The Club Management reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the Ground: - a) Any person dressed in a manner which is i) Considered inappropriate, offensive or distasteful. ii) Considered dangerous either to their own safety or the safety of other spectators. iii) Considered an obstruction to the view of the spectators. b) Any person who refuses to be searched by any servant or agent of the Club.

6. The following items are not permitted within the stadium and may be confiscated: flares and fireworks, smoke canisters, knives, bottles, glasses, cans, flasks, flags, banners, poles, similar articles and containers which might be used as a weapon or missile, stools, crates, fold-up chairs, pushchairs and children’s car seats.

Any spectator entering the stadium agrees, as a condition of entry, to comply with the Club's searching policy and will allow allocated staff to conduct appropriate searches. Any spectator found to be in possession of banned items will be prevented from entering the stadium or ejected.

7. The throwing of any object within the Ground is strictly forbidden.

8. It is an offence to use foul and abusive language, obscene chanting or racial abuse. Action will be taken against any individual(s) indulging in such acts.

9. Unauthorised persons are strictly forbidden from entering upon the field of play, unless advised to do so in an emergency. Individuals entering upon the field of play without permission may be charged with aggravated trespass and will be banned from the ground.

10. The obstructing of gangways, access ways, exits and entrances, stairways and similar places and standing in seated areas whilst play is in progress is strictly forbidden.

11. The climbing of any structure within the Ground is strictly forbidden.

12. Unnecessary noise such as that from the use of audio equipment and behaviour likely to cause confusion or annoyance to any person is not permitted in any part of the ground.

13. Any person attempting to gain admission to, or being found within, a section of the Ground designated for ‘Members Only’ without the appropriate authorisation may be ejected from the Ground.

14. With the exception of persons authorised by the Club Management and Press Representatives holding official passes, the taking of photographs or video footage inside the Ground is prohibited. In addition, recording for Radio, Television, Internet or for private purposes, whether for transmission or otherwise, is not permitted except with special authorisation in writing by the Club Management.

15. Only persons specifically authorised in writing by the Club Management are permitted to distribute either without charge or offer for sale within the Ground any newspapers, periodicals or any other articles.

16. Any person found damaging or defacing property within the Stadium will be prosecuted.

17. Persons failing to comply with instructions from a Steward or other authorised agent of the Club may be ejected from the Ground.

18. The Stadium Management reserves the right for its servants and agents to remove from the ground any person who does not comply with these Ground Regulations, the Rules and Regulations of the RFL and the Safety of Sports Grounds Acts 1975 or whose presence within the Ground is, or could, reasonably be construed as constituting a source of danger, nuisance or annoyance to any other person.

19. On all events at Headingley Stadium the importation of alcohol and drugs is forbidden. Any seizure of drugs or offensive weapons or incidents of crime and disorder shall be reported in the incidents report register and reported to the police.

20. All young persons have a right to be safe and enjoy sport at Headingley Stadium. Please ensure that children under 16 are accompanied by a responsible adult. All Junior Season Memberships purchased in the South Stand must be purchased with an Adult Season Membership. In the event of an incident involving the junior, the adult will be held totally responsible.

21. Please be aware there will be no smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes permitted anywhere in the stadium bowl. Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes will be allowed in designated smoking areas which are at Gate B, Gate D and Gate G.

22. All attendees at the stadium consent to being filmed or recorded (images and sound) by or on behalf of us, the Organiser or another authorised third party, and consent to their images (or likenesses) being used in any film, recording, photograph or other footage (“Recording”) of the Event. All rights in the Recording shall be owned by the Organiser, authorised third party or us absolutely. You agree that any Recording may be used by us, the Organiser or authorised third party in any media and for any purpose throughout the world, including, without limitation, for promotional materials and activities, merchandise, DVDs or other commercial activities. No payment or compensation for use of your image or likeness shall be payable to you.

23. All persons entering the ground are admitted only subject to their acceptance of the above Ground Regulations. Entry to the ground is on this condition and if you are in breach of the rules and regulations you will be removed from the stadium.

24. Throughout a match day or an event (pre, half-time, during and post-match/event) pyrotechnics, flashing floodlights, special effects and flash photography will be used.

25. All spectators will take responsibility for any actions needed to protect themselves and others from the effects of COVID-19. This includes maintaining social distancing, good hygiene practices, observing access routes and signage and adhering to any requests and instructions from Club officials including safety stewards.

ALL BREACHES OF GROUND REGULATIONS WILL BE ASSESSED AND INVESTIGATED BY THE CLUB. THE ACTION TAKEN WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE INCIDENT SEVERITY.

How to book

1. - Click the game below (please be aware you can only book this if you are a University of Leeds student)

2. - In the game click South Stand Terrace or AMT East Stand Terrace and select the number of tickets.

3. - In the basket page, log in or register an account.

4. - Continue in basket page and select ticket type (Student) and continue to checkout page to complete payment. NB: if you are a university Alumni or member of staff you must purchase your tickets through your Studen Union.

5. - Complete order and your ticket will be sent to the regsitered email address which you can use print out or use on a smartphone.
